Day 1: Fly to Amman

Fly from London (regional connections available) to Amman with Royal Jordanian Airlines. Transfer to the InterContinental Amman for 2 nights.

Day 2: Amman • Jerash

Morning tour of Amman, visiting the citadel with panoramic views of the whole city and the restored Roman theatre in downtown Amman. Afternoon tour of Jerash.

Day 3: Madaba • Mount Nebo • Shobak • Petra

Travel along the King’s Way, visiting Madaba, home to a Byzantine mosaic map of the region; Mount Nebo, from where Moses first viewed the Holy Land; and the crusader castle of Shobak. Continue to Petra. Stay 3 nights at the Mövenpick Resort Petra, situated at the entrance to the site.

Day 4: Petra

Take a guided tour of Petra, the rose-red city rediscovered by JL Burckhardt in 1812.

Return to the main site for more exploration with your guide. Optional evening visit to Petra by candlelight.

Day 6: Little Petra • Wadi Rum • Dead Sea

Morning visit to Al Beidha, or ‘Little Petra’, before driving to Wadi Rum for a 4×4 excursion into the desert. Afternoon transfer to the Dead Sea. Stay 2 nights at the Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea.

Day at leisure. Optional morning excursion to the baptism site of Jesus in Bethany, on the banks of the River Jordan.

Located only a few minutes’ walk from the entrance to the legendary site of Petra, the Mövenpick Resort features intricate interior design and high standards of service and is one of Petra’s most distinguished hotels. Jerusalem
3 Nights
Discover sacred monuments and over 3,000 years of history in the fascinating city of Jerusalem. This city is significant to Christians, Jews and Muslims alike, resulting in a fascinating mix of synagogues, churches, mosques, minarets and shrines. During this 3-night extension, take in the highlights of the Old City with a day at leisure to explore at your own pace.

Day 8: Jerusalem
Drive to the Allenby Bridge and cross the border into Israel. Continue on the 50-km drive to Jerusalem. Stay at the Dan Boutique Hotel for 3 nights. (B)
Day 9: Jerusalem
Full-day tour exploring the ancient city of Jerusalem, whose history dates back more than 3,000 years. The numerous highlights and attractions include a visit to the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view over the city and a stop at Mount Zion to visit King David’s tomb, the room of the Last Supper. (B)
Day 10: Jerusalem
A day at leisure. Visit the Israel Museum, one of the country’s most important cultural and historical institutions where the Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed. Alternatively visit the ancient fortifications of Masada, a fortress and palace built by King Herod the Great on a rocky mountain top (payable locally). (B)
Day 11: Fly to London
Transfer to the airport. Fly from Tel Aviv to London with British Airways*. (B)

The Red Sea & Dead Sea
4 Nights
Visit the shores of the Red Sea and Dead Sea, both ideal places to unwind at the end of a tour. The Red Sea has clean, sandy beaches and clear waters with an array of marine life while the salty waters of the Dead Sea are rich in healthgiving nutrients.

Day 6: Aqaba
Following your jeep excursion in Wadi Rum, leave the group and transfer by road to Aqaba. Stay 2 nights at the Mövenpick Resort & Spa Tala Bay, Aqaba. Facilities include multiple swimming pools, a spa and a private beach area. (B)
Day 7: Aqaba
Day at leisure. Relax at your hotel, visit the beach, take the shuttle into town or swim in the nearby warm waters of the Red Sea. (B)
Day 8: Dead Sea
Morning transfer to the Dead Sea. Stay for 2 nights at the Mövenpick Dead Sea. (B)
Day 9: Dead Sea
At leisure. Float in the salty waters of the Dead Sea or enjoy one of the numerous therapeutic spa treatments including salt and black mud body wraps. (B)
Day 10: Fly to London
