Tour Itinerary

Day 1 – To Lima

Fly from London (regional connections available) to Lima with British Airways. Transfer to the Casa Andina Premium Miraflores for 2 nights.

Day 2 – Lima

Morning tour of Lima, including the colonial centre and a stop at the historic Cordano tavern for a local pisco sour.

Day 3 – To the Sacred Valley

Fly to Cuzco, the ancient capital of the Inca empire. Transfer to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, via the local market in Pisac and Ollantaytambo Inca fortress. 

Day 4 – To Machu Picchu

Take the Vistadome train to Machu Picchu and explore this spectacular Inca city.

Day 5 – To Cuzco

Morning at leisure or further explore Machu Picchu (purchase tickets at time of booking). In the afternoon, return to Cuzco by train and stay 2 nights at the Casa Andina Premium Cuzco.

Day 6 – Cuzco

Morning tour of Cuzco and San Blas. Afternoon at leisure or optional excursions.

Day 7 – To Puno

Take the Belmond Andean Explorer sleeper train across the altiplano (high plain) to Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Enjoy majestic vistas from the stylish lounge car, stop by the archaeological site of Raqchi and watch the sunset at La Raya (the highest point of the route), where the snowcapped Andes tower over deep valleys. 

Day 8 – To Lake Titicaca 

Wake up to see sunrise over Lake Titicaca. Travel by road to Huatajata in Bolivia visiting Copacabana and its shrine en route. Discover the cultural exhibition at the Andean Roots Eco Village, see how reed boats are constructed and meet a Kallawaya, a spiritual healer. Stay overnight at the Inca Utama on the shores of the lake and observe the southern constellations from the hotel’s astronomical observatory.

Day 9 – Uros Iruitos • La Paz

After breakfast take a hydrofoil cruise to the Uros Iruitos floating reed islands and visit the Quewaya Sustainable Project. Continue overland to bustling La Paz and take an afternoon tour of the city, including the witches’ market and Moon Valley. Overnight at the Hotel Europa. 

Day 10 – To Buenos Aires

Fly to Buenos Aires, a city of grand architecture and European influences. Transfer to the Brick Hotel Buenos Aires for 3 nights.

Day 11 – Buenos Aires

Morning city tour including a visit to the cathedral, La Boca district and the Recoleta cemetery.

Day 12 – Buenos Aires

At leisure or optional excursions.

Day 13 – To Iguaçu Falls

Fly to Iguazú and visit the Brazilian side of the park for panoramic views of the thundering cataracts. Return to the Argentinian side.

Day 14 – Iguazu

At leisure to explore the various nearby walkways and viewing platforms on the Argentinian side or take an optional boat ride on the river below.

Day 15 – To Rio de Janeiro

Fly to Rio, set among mountains, tropical forests and golden beaches. Transfer to the Copacabana beach for a stay of 2 nights at the PortoBay Rio Internacional (Superior partial ocean-view room).

Day 16 – Rio de Janeiro

Full-day tour of Rio de Janeiro, including Corcovado and Sugar Loaf mountain.

Day 17-18 – To London

At leisure or optional excursions (PortoBay day room use from £75). Evening flight to London with British Airways, arriving the following day.


Buzios Beach
4 Nights
Relax at the end of your tour in the charming beach resort of Búzios, where first-class restaurants, chic shops and numerous sandy beaches with crystal-clear waters can be found.

Day 17: Búzios
Transfer to Búzios (approximately 2.5 hours) and stay for 3 or 4 nights at Vila d’Este (garden room). Upgrade to an oceanfront room from £65 per person or to Casas Brancas from £25 per person. (B)

At leisure or optional excursions. (B)
Day 20: Fly to London
Transfer to Rio de Janeiro for an overnight flight to London with British Airways.
Day 21: Arrive in London (N)

6 Nights 
Take a pre-tour to the Galapagos islands and discover their fascinating wildlife. The islands are best explored aboard an expedition cruiser and combined with a 2-night stay in Quito.

Days 1-2: Fly to Quito
Fly to Quito via Madrid and transfer to the Hilton Colon for a 2-night stay. Enjoy a day at leisure to explore the city or visit the Middle of the World monument. (B)

Days 3-5: Galapagos Islands
Fly to the Galapagos via Guayaquil and board your selected cruise vessel for 3 or 4 nights. Longer cruises are also available. Take daily shore excursions to explore the various islands with their unique landscapes and endemic wildlife. (B, L, D)

Day 6: Fly to Lima
Fly to Lima via Guayaquil and join the rest of the group. (An additional night in Lima may also be required on certain departures.) (B)

Large comfortable leather seats with fold away tables allow passengers to relax and enjoy the magnificent scenery along the way.

Windsor California, Rio de Janeiro (2019 tours only)

The Windsor California is located on the world-famous Copacabana beach. Rooms feature contemporary décor in neutral tones, dark wooden furnishings and marble bathrooms. You can upgrade to an oceanfront room with ceiling-to-floor windows. There is a rooftop terrace with a small pool and panoramic ocean views. Complimentary beach service provides guests with towels and an umbrella for the beach.
