Day 1: UK to Bogota
You'll depart on your scheduled flight to Bogotá today.
Day 2: Bogota
You'll arrive in Bogotá today, where you'll be met by your Local Guide and transferred to your overnight hotel.
Get to know La Candelaria, the historic centre of Bogotá, this afternoon on a guided tour. Lining its cobbled streets are centuries-old houses, fascinating museums and ancient churches.
Day 3: Bogota & Villa De Leyva
A morning of sightseeing begins at the Botero Museum, where you'll see paintings by Picasso, Renoir, Matisse and Monet. Next is the Gold Museum, where a jaw-dropping collection of treasures is on display, including more than 30,000 pieces of gold and 20,000 precious stones.
Day 4: Villa De Leyva, Zipaquirá and Pereira
We're returning to Bogotá this morning, making a stop en route at the Convento del Santo Ecce Homo, founded by Dominican fathers in 1620. Another highlight today is a visit to the underground mines of Zipaquirá, home to the impressive Salt Cathedral, carved out of the salt deposits of an abandoned mine.
Day 5: Pereira and Valle de Cocora
A thrilling day of discovery starts in the verdant Valle de Cocora, located high in the Andean mountains and part of the Los Nevados National Park. Here you'll see its famous towering wax palms - the tallest in the world.
Day 6: Pereira and Buenavista
A treat for coffee-lovers is lined up this morning as we travel through a green carpet of coffee plants to a coffee hacienda in the Buenavista region. On a tour you'll learn about its production, from growing and harvesting the beans to brewing the perfect pot.
Day 7: Pereira and Medellin
We're going to start the day with a tasting of typical Colombian fruits before we head off on our travels. Our destination is Colombia's second city, Medellín, and that's going to be our base for the next three nights.
Day 8: Medellin
Let's get to know Medellín this morning on a tour of its highlights. These include the Parque San Antonio, home to sculptures by the famed artist Fernando Botero, and Plazuela de San Ignacio, one of the oldest parts of the city. The tour concludes at Nutibara Hill, for spectacular views.
Day 9: Medellin and Santa Fe De Antioquia
Your sightseeing begins at the Puente de Occidente, one of the first suspension bridges built in South America and a masterpiece of engineering.
Day 10: Tayrona National Park
We're going to fly to Santa Marta today. We'll then journey by road to Tayrona National Park, nestled at the foot of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountain range. One of Colombia's most popular national parks, it boasts fabulous scenery from pristine beaches to lush rainforest.
Day 11: Tayrona National Park
You can spend today at leisure enjoying your fantastic surroundings. With white sand, turquoise waters and a backdrop of swaying palms, where better to spend a day soaking up the Caribbean sunshine.
Day 12: Cartagena
Today we're going to take a journey by road to Cartagena.
Day 13: Cartagena
Gateway to the Caribbean, Cartagena is a melting pot of pirate history, African fusions and indigenous and European culture, and you'll see its exciting highlights today.
Day 14: Cartagena
Today is yours to spend as you wish. Cartagena is full of highlights, so you'll be spoilt for choice as you head out to explore.
Day 15: Cartagena / UK
We'll transfer you to the airport today for your flight back to the UK.
Day 16: UK
You'll arrive back in the UK today.
Day 2: Hotel Cite
