Day 1: Depart the UK

Take an overnight flight to Buenos Aires.

Day 2: Buenos Aires

Land in the city of tango, fantastic wine and friendly people. Buenos Aires is a spectacular city with a rich history and proud Porteños.

Day 3: Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires is one of the most elegant cities in Latin America. Its exquisite architecture and European influences are showcased in its palaces, grand avenues and beautiful parks. Enjoy a city tour to discover the inner beauty of this captivating capital.

Day 4: Buenos Aires to Bariloche

Take a flight to the famous Lake District in Northern Patagonia. This region is dominated by deep blue lakes surrounded by the beautiful Andean mountains.

Day 5: Bariloche Make Your Day Individual

Choose from one of the following included experiences:

Bariloche Beer Experience Tour – Bariloche is famous for the lakes, the chocolate, and more recently, the production of craft beer. You will tour the most recognised factories whilst also enjoying the chance to taste the different, truly Patagonian, flavours.

Kayak Tour – The deep blue calm waters of the lakes around Bariloche are so inviting that a kayak excursion is one of the best ways to get in close contact with nature.

Victoria Island and Arrayanes Forest – Arrive by boat at the beautiful Victoria Island and take a walk through the green conifer nursery. You will continue by boat to Quetrihue Peninsula to find the cinnamon-coloured Arrayanes Forest. This area inspired Walt Disney’s classic animated film Bambi.

Day 6: Bariloche to Puerto Varas

Today’s adventure will see you travel by both land and boat, to the Chilean Lake District. You will cross three lakes and drive through stunning landscapes, finally reaching the beautiful town of Puerto Varas.

Day 7: Puerto Varas – Make Your Day Individual

Choose from one of the following included experiences:

Chiloe – Chiloe Island is a world of its own, and totally unique. Although Chilean, it is very different from any other part of the country. During this tour you will visit the island and its capital, and learn about its history – including how it is famous for hundreds of different types of potatoes!

City Tour of Puerto Montt and Puerto Varas – This tour is the perfect way to learn about the culture of the area; how it has developed, and how the locals live today. You will visit monuments and markets, and travel to stunning viewpoints for some impressive photo opportunities. This tour is a great choice for those also wanting a bit of free time during the day, to spend as you wish.

Osorno Volcano and Petrohue Falls – On this tour you will discover some of the natural beauty of the region. Admire the stunning Petrohue Falls with the perfect form of Osorno Volcano sitting just behind. Take a boat across the emerald waters of Lake Todos los Santos, and then head onwards by road to the volcano itself.

Day 8: Puerto Varas to Puerto Natales

Fly to Puerto Natales in Southern Patagonia. This sleepy and charming town is the gateway to the famous Torres del Paine National Park, one of the most beautiful in the whole Latin American continent.

Day 9: Torres del Paine

Today will be one of the highlights of your Patagonia Group Tour. Torres del Paine receives visitors from around the world, captivating its audience with its incredible scenic beauty. You will start the day early, ensuring plenty of time to fully enjoy walking and exploring the ancient forests, beautiful lakes, waterfalls and mountains, before returning to Puerto Natales in the evening.

Day 10: Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers

Travel by road through forests rich with flora and fauna, before boarding boats that will take you to the iconic Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers, where you will enjoy a gentle hike to experience them to their fullest.

Day 11: Puerto Natales to El Calafate

You will travel by road to El Calafate, the main city in the glacier region of the country and the gateway to the most famous glacier of all!

Day 12: Perito Moreno Glacier

Enjoy a full day’s excursion to Perito Moreno, one of the largest glaciers
in South America. You will admire its grandeur from different panoramic points, and if you are lucky, you might witness the awe-inspiring thunderous collapse of some of the ice falling into the water below!

Day 13: El Calafate to El Chalten

Take a bus ride to neighbouring El Chalten. This Patagonian village enjoys amazing scenery and is dubbed the Torres del Paine of Argentina.

Day 14: Mount Fitz Roy

Today is a free day, to spend as you wish. The famous Mount Fitz Roy presents opportunities for truly beautiful hiking, with trails starting from town. There are plenty of walking routes from El Chalten, and your Tour Leader will be able to suggest those best suited to you.

Day 15: El Chalten to Buenos Aires

Today you will travel by road to El Calafate airport. Here you will catch a flight back to Buenos Aires, where you will spend your last night.

Day 16: Depart Buenos Aires

Your Pure Patagonia tour has come to an end and today you will take the overnight flight back to the UK. If you don’t want the adventure to end, read through our suggested extensions or speak to our consultants for inspiration!
