Day 1: UK/Reykjavik
After your scheduled flight to Keflavik International Airport, we'll transfer you to your overnight hotel in Reykjavik, Iceland's capital.
Day 2: South Shore
Start your Icelandic adventure at the Eyjafjalla and Mýrdalsjökull glaciers. You've the chance to walk behind the Seljalandsfoss waterfall, before calling in at Eyjafjallajokull's visitor centre to find out about the volcanic eruptions of 2011.
Day 3: Vatnajökull & Skaftafell
Today you'll cross the Laki lava field, believed to be the largest lava flow from a single eruption anywhere in the world. A further drive over huge fields of glacial sands gets you close to Vatnajökull, the biggest glacier in Europe.
Day 4: Westman Islands
You're going to stay on the Westman Islands tonight, reached by a 30-minute ferry crossing. We'll spend the morning exploring, with highlights including the ancient fort of Skansinn and a walk up to the crater of the Eldfell volcanic cone. Finally, we head to Elephant Rock on the island of Heimaey. Once you see it you'll be left in no doubts as to how it got its name!
Day 5: Golden Circle
You're heading back to Iceland's capital today, for a three-night stay. Before arrival, a day of sightseeing starts at the mighty Gullfoss, or Golden Waterfall. The next wonders of nature you'll view are the Geysirand and Strokkur geysers at Haukadalur hot springs.
Day 6: Reykjavik
We offer two great optional excursions today. In the morning you could join a whale-watching excursion, and in the afternoon you have the chance to visit the incredible Blue Lagoon and relax in its warm, mineral-rich waters.
Day 7: Snæfellsnes National Park
Head off with your Tour Manager to another area of outstanding beauty today – the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Incredible sights here include craters, lava flows, fjords, sandy beaches and high cliffs. Just a short walk takes us to a rare sight in Iceland – a beach with light-coloured sand, where if we're lucky, we could see seals basking.
Day 8: Reykjavik/UK
Enjoy a free morning before making your way to the airport for your flight back to the UK.
Day 1: Fosshotel Lind
Days 2-3: Hotel Dyrholaey
Day 4: Hotel Vestmannaeyjar
