Located in a corner of rare natural beauty with tiny coves, green hills and deserted beaches, the aptly named Retreat offers an idyllic haven from hectic modern life. Winner of TripAdvisor 'Certificate of Excellence' 2013 and 2014, The Retreat is ideal for anyone looking for a range of inclusive activities to enjoy on holiday.
Around a ten minute walk from the bustling harbour of Sivota, The Retreat clings to the side of a tree-covered coastal hillside. Its various buildings are linked by numerous steps and paths leading down to the shores of the Ionian Sea. A collection of beaches forms the edge of the watersports area and a shallow sand bar makes it possible to wade across to the tiny uninhabited island of Mourtemeno. Throughout the hotel grounds, great attention has been paid to landscaping with an abundance of flowers and trees adding to the natural beauty of the setting.

Families, especially those with older children will love the sports facilities. Sporty kids will enjoy the watersports, cycling and fitness. Older teens will enjoy the low-key town of Sivota.
We’ve moved away from the usual range of kids’ clubs, lunchtime and evening care at Retreat Beachclub. Instead, there’s a focus on activities for families to do together. Our activity team will organise a jam-packed programme of family-friendly paddle board, kayak, cycling and tennis sessions for you and your children to enjoy with each other. We will be providing equipment suitable for children aged eight and over so that they can join you on the tennis courts, paddle boards and bikes; while children aged 13 and over can join the adult teaching sessions.
There are lots of steps at the Retreat, so bear this in mind if you're travelling with babies and toddlers. The beaches are sandy, and children will love the warm, shallow water. There's also a good choice of rooms for families, including interconnecting and premium rooms.
There are several dining and drinking spaces including a new alfresco area to the restaurant where you can enjoy a delicious meal while soaking up the sea views. As with all other areas of the beachclub, the views from the restaurant and pool bar are lovely. The pool bar is a good meeting point and is always a hive of activity with people chatting about the day over a coffee, cocktail or beer.
New at the Retreat we have flexible dining. You choose the board basis to suit you with half board (breakfast and lunch) and full board available. Whichever you choose you'll find locally sourced produce focussing on Mediterranean classics and plenty of it too.
- Half Board - breakfast and lunch every day. Water, tea and coffee with inclusive meals
- Full Board - breakfast, lunch and evening meal every day. Water, tea and coffee with inclusive meals
