The modern design of the beachclub means that most rooms face the pool with a balcony or terrace so you can enjoy the stunning sea view (some rooms look over the back of the beachclub, across fields towards the mountains).
The rooms (the majority of which are spacious twins or doubles) have a simple stylish elegance to them and are finished to a very high standard. If you're travelling solo, there are four single rooms available without a single supplement. We also have a couple of suites that we can honestly say are the best rooms in any of our beachclubs – simply stunning! We want you to drift off and have the best nights sleep, so all beds come complete with luxury mattress toppers, duvets and bed linen plus there's a choice of pillows - sweet dreams.
Fancy a lie-in? Then continental breakfast can be delivered to your room (on request, for a small charge). There's also Nespresso coffee machines in all rooms, so you can start each day with a perfect cup of coffee on your own balcony.
Each room has air conditioning, pre-stocked fridge (beer, wine and soft drinks - replenished weekly), Nespresso coffee machines, telephone, TV, safe, spa gift pack, bathrobe and slippers, beach towels and hairdryer. There's free Wi-Fi in the public areas and in most of the rooms.
- Water skiing or wakeboarding
Once you try water skiing and wakeboarding, you'll definitely be coming back for more. Practice makes perfect and you'll get up to two free tows per person, per week. So get out there and give these fun water sports a go. All Neilson Beachclubs have British Water Ski and Wakeboard (BWSW) 'Accredited Ski School' status, ensuring optimum safety and superb tuition through all levels.
Grab your gear, there's a choice of monoskis, slalom skis, wakeboards, wakeskates and children's skis (there's also some wetsuits) and hit the water.
- Kayaking & Stand up paddle boards
Sparkling shallow sea, the gentle splash of paddle against water and the warm sun on your back. Paddle your way along Mediterranean coastlines to secluded bays and idyllic beaches. Just hop in and get going. Kayaking is included all day, every day at any of the Neilson beachclubs. Both watersports are available for you to enjoy anytime during the day without an instructor and no previous training is required. Once there you can try the Kayak Safari and paddle to the nearby beaches to explore the local marine life.
- Windsurfing
It’s never too late to learn a new sport! Windsurfing tuition is included in the cost of your holiday, so dip in and out of during the week depending on the wind conditions and your energy levels. There's no need to pre-book tuition or courses before you travel, just sign up to the sessions of your choice once you arrive at the beachclub.
If the tuition isn't for you and you can already windsurf, head down to the water sports beach and ask one of the beach team to show you the boards, rigs and sails, take your pick and off you go.
- Cycling (road biking or mountain biking)
You can grab a bike and go mountain biking at all of Neilson’s beachclubs. The mountain bikes come with a wide range of gears, comfortable front suspension and frame sizes from 15.5" to 21". At all eleven of Neilson’s beachclubs, you'll be able to head out on a top-quality bike to discover winding hillside roads, shady olive groves and rocky pine forests. There is a wide variety of rides for different skill and fitness levels, whether it's a gentle ride to the best coffee shop around or testing climbs, there's something for you.
It’s not all about mountain biking, with warm weather, specially selected routes and some great hills, Neilson’s beachclubs are heaven for roadies. Road cycling with expert guiding is an inclusive activity.
- Tennis
If you love tennis and fancy yourself as the next Andy Murray or Serena Williams, visit any of the beachclubs and benefit from daily group coaching sessions, available at no extra cost. If you already know how to play, you can book a tennis court free of charge and simply enjoy the sunny days with your friend. Social tennis matches are also available.
- Ftiness & Yoga
On top of a wide choice of inclusive activities, Neilson also run a fantastic fitness programme offering a varied mix of classes and one-to-one personal training. Whether you want to target flexibility, conditioning, cardio or power, there's a training session with your name on it. Inclusive fitness classes range from low-impact choices like yoga, Pilates and aqua-fit to energetic sessions to get your heart pumping like circuits, Zumba and Tabata.
- Dinghy sailing
The great thing about dinghy sailing is the freedom of racing across the water with the wind in your hair and the sun on your face. On Neilson’s beachclub holidays the friendly in-resort staff can teach complete beginners to sail and more experienced sailors will always be able to learn more from the expert team of water sports instructors.
Sailing tuition is included on your holiday, there's no need to book tuition or courses before you travel, it's all done once you arrive at the beachclub. If you can already sail, there's no need to join a session (unless you want to), simply choose a dinghy, let the beach team know and head out into the sailing area.
- Climbing Wall
Learn the ropes or blaze the trails with us and test your head for heights on your next beachclub holiday. The climbing walls are great for adults and children, even better, no experience is necessary! Neilson’s friendly expert staff will provide you with all the safety equipment you'll need (climbing harnesses and safety helmets) and the instructors will take you through your first steps to ensure you have a great time. It's not just for first timers, experienced climbers will enjoy the climbing wall too.
If you enjoy a more refined dining experience, you will love what we’ve done at Buca Beachclub. There’s a stylish à la carte restaurant (where all meals are served), with a professional team of waiters to look after your every need.
For both breakfast and lunch, you can choose to eat from the à la carte menu (on request) and enjoy a leisurely meal served at your table, or if activities are calling and you just want to grab something and go there’s an extensive buffet waiting for you. If breakfast in bed is more your thing, a continental breakfast of pastries, preserves, fruit, yoghurt, juice and coffee can be delivered to your room, and for a little extra, the daily newspapers too.
At Buca Beachclub we’ve designed a dining plan that’s flexible to suit you. The restaurant is open six evenings per week, there aren't any set days for your inclusive evening meals; it's flexible and you choose the nights you want to dine in (please book at reception for dinner). If you're on a one or two-week holiday your evening meal is inclusive on four nights per week. Guests staying for 10 or 11 nights can join us for the evening meal on six nights.
On non-inclusive evenings, dine à la carte in the restaurant, head out to one of a handful of local tavernas further along the beach or ask us to arrange a meal for you at one of the great restaurants in Kalamata. All non-inclusive meals are charged for and will be added to your room tab.
From 1 January 2018, you’ll need to pay an Overnight Stay Tax which has been introduced by the Greek Ministry of Tourism. This will be collected from you when you get to your accommodation.
The tax works out between 0.50 - 4 Euros per night. The amount you’ll pay will depend on the official rating of your accommodation. The specific amount will be dependent on the type of accommodation you’ve booked. Please contact us for more details.
