Days 1-2: London to Vienna
Board the Eurostar to Brussels after meeting at the St Pancras Departure Office, continuing on to Nuremburg, via Frankfurt, where you overnight. On Day 2, you travel to the stunning city of Vienna.
Day 3-4: Exploring Vienna
Today begins with a coach and walking tour of Vienna. On it, you view the famed sights of the city, including the Prater. The rest of your day is at leisure. Why not visit Schönbrunn Palace? Set in hundreds of acres of beautiful gardens, the elegant palace is one of Vienna's architectural highlights, and boasts of a UNESCO World Heritage status.
Days 5-6: To Prague
Today you set out by train for Prague. Here, you check into the 4* Hotel Diplomat for a two night stay. With its convenient central location, the Diplomat is the perfect base from which to explore the sights of Prague. The rest of your day is free to relax in this fine city.
Day 7: To Berlin
Leave Prague by rail, bound for Berlin in Germany. The train travels along the scenic valley of the Elbe and through an area of rocky gorges known as 'Saxon Switzerland', an enchanting journey. We arrive in Berlin and spend three nights at the 4* Park Inn Berlin-Alexanderplatz.
Day 8-9: To Berlin
This morning take a guided tour of the once divided German capital. Your afternoon, and Day 9, is at leisure to explore Berlin at your own pace, perhaps visiting the famous Brandenburg Gate and Reichstag, or the Checkpoint Charlie Museum with its history of the Berlin Wall.
Day 10: Berlin to London
Today you say goodbye to mainland Europe, and begin your journey home. After breakfast, you leave Berlin by rail, travelling via Cologne to Brussels. Here, you board the Eurostar service back to St Pancras International, where your tour concludes.
Park Inn Berlin-Alexanderplatz, Berlin
The 4-Star Park Inn Berlin-Alexanderplatz is situated on Berlin's famous Alexanderplatz, opposite the television tower and within walking distance of Unter den Linden and the State Opera House. The hotel has the distinction of being the 'highest hotel in Berlin', standing at 150 metres high and with 39 floors. The Park Inn has three restaurants, two atmospheric bars, a beer garden and a roof terrace from which to enjoy the fabulous views over Berlin.
Diplomat Hotel, Prague
Our base in Prague is the 4-Star Diplomat Hotel, situated close to Prague Castle and the city's historic centre. The hotel has three restaurants and a café serving coffee, cakes and light snacks. There is a flower shop, souvenir shop, lift between floors and a Wellness Club with a Finnish sauna, steam bath, whirlpool, fitness centre and views of the castle.
