DAY 1 ARRIVE HALIFAX
Welcome to Canada! After transferring from the airport to your hotel head out to explore the city. Enjoy the town’s charming seaside areas. Find a great restaurant for dinner by the water. (Overnight in Halifax)

DAY 2 OVERNIGHT ONBOARD VIA RAIL
You have some of the morning free to complete your visit to Halifax. Head over to the VIA Rail station to depart for Quebec City. The train winds its way north and west through the Canadian Maritimes. You’ll be treated to some delightful views of the rocky and forested coast and inlands of the region. During the summer, there are frequently presentations and experiences onboard to participate in giving passengers a chance to learn more about local history and culture. (Overnight onboard VIA Rail)

DAY 3 QUEBEC CITY

Today you will reach Quebec City. You arrive early with a full day to explore this fascinating destination. The city’s early colonial roots are everywhere from its centuries old defensive walls, its continental-flavored Old Port district, to the historic waterfront. Dinner tonight is included at a classic Quebecoise restaurant. (Overnight in Quebec City)

DAY 4 QUEBEC CITY TO MONTREAL
Included today is a guided tour of Quebec City. Your guide will provide some amazing stories and background on the town whilst riding past popular and historic points of interest such as the Latin Quarter, Plains of Abraham, the Ramparts, the world-famous Château Frontenac hotel, Place-Royale, and the Citadelle. Later today, you will board the train and continue to Montreal. (Overnight in Montreal)

DAY 5 MONTREAL
Today you will explore a city that is an interesting blend of the Old World and the New, the historic and modern: Montreal! Your included tour will provide an excellent experience of the city. Included in the guided sightseeing experience are famous attractions like Notre Dame Basilica, the hip Place des Arts, Place Jacques Cartier, the Hotel de Ville, and Old Montreal. DAY 6 MONTREAL TO TORONTO
Take the train over to Toronto, Canada’s largest city. This metropolis is not only the most populous urban center in Canada, it is arguably its most culturally diverse with a wealth of colorful neighborhoods such as Yorkville, Cabbagetown, and The Annex. Toronto is also Canada’s commercial capital and the hustle and bustle of business and daily life are everywhere! (Overnight in Toronto)

DAY 7 TORONTO TO NIAGARA FALLS
After exploring the great city of Toronto, Niagara Falls will impress in a completely different way. Your tour will depart the city and head out to one of Canada’s greatest natural wonders. Carved by the glaciers of the last ice age and mighty flow of the St. Lawrence River and Great Lakes, the falls roar with as much as six million cubic feet of water pouring over the edge every minute! DAY 8 OVERNIGHT ONBOARD VIA RAIL
Today wake up and have a free morning to explore Toronto. Use your hop-on, hop-off sightseeing tour to take in the fascinating landmarks and neighbourhoods of Canada’s largest city. Your guide will point out important attractions and points of interest and you can get off at any stops that interest you and explore at your own pace. In the evening, travel on your own to the Via Rail station and board the iconic Canadian Line for your exciting three-day trip across Canada. (Overnight on VIA Rail)

DAYS 9 -10 OVERNIGHT ONBOARD VIA RAIL
You will journey across Canada today, travelling through a variety of beautiful landscapes and taking in sights only possible by train. As you are enjoying the pristine lakes, charming farm country, wide open plains, and rolling tree covered hills, also keep a look out for wildlife. There is always the possibility of catching a glance at a bear, elk, deer, or any number of local species. Your journey is an unforgettable ride through the heart of the Canadian countryside! DAY 11 JASPER
After the train rides into the heart of the mountains, it will arrive in the picturesque mountain community of Jasper. Travel on your own to your hotel and check in. Enjoy the clear mountain air and beautiful surroundings of the Canadian Rockies. (Overnight in Jasper)

DAY 12 JASPER TO BANFF
This morning, you will depart Jasper for a scenic drive out to Banff. Your ride along the world-famous Icefields Parkway will be full of gorgeous sights. Enjoy the wildlife, pristine lakes, and breathtaking mountain peaks. You will also have a chance to visit the Columbia Icefield, one of the largest expanses of ice and snow south of the Arctic Circle. Step onboard an Ice Explorer for an interpretive adventure on the Athabasca Glacier. At the Glacier Skywalk, you’ll be treated to an unobstructed view on a glass-floored observation platform that extends over the Sunwapta Valley. Other highlights of your day tour will include Athabasca Falls, Peyto Lake, Bow Lake, Crowfoot Glacier, Lake Louise, and a hot buffet lunch at the Columbia Icefield Glacier Discovery Centre. At the end of your tour, you will spend some time in Banff, one of the most scenic towns in the Canadian Rockies. Check into your hotel and enjoy everything this charming location has to offer. DAY 13 BANFF TO JASPER
You will be transferred today from Banff through the mountains and back to Jasper. Rest and relax before tomorrow’s train journey to the West Coast. (Overnight in Jasper)

DAY 14 OVERNIGHT ONBOARD VIA RAIL
Travel to the VIA Rail station today and board the Canadian once more. As the train continues on toward Vancouver, witness the beautiful and very picturesque views of the Canadian Rockies from the comfort and convenience of the train. Crystal clear mountain lakes, majestic peaks, and ancient glaciers are all part of your adventure through the mountains! (Overnight onboard VIA Rail)

DAY 15 VANCOUVER
This morning you will arrive in Vancouver! Begin to explore the city with your multi-day hop-on, hop-off sightseeing tour which will take you to such popular sights as Stanley Park or the Vancouver downtown area. With the ability to get on and off at your leisure, there is no telling how much you can do and see today! (Overnight in Vancouver)

DAY 16 VANCOUVER
Today, continue on with your sightseeing tour and experience the best of what Vancouver has to offer. Head over to the peninsula known as Granville Island, a popular shopping district in Vancouver.
