Day 1 – 3: UK – Melbourne

Fly from London to one of Australia’s most exciting and cosmopolitan cities: Melbourne. Upon arrival, you’ll head straight for the stylish Grand Hyatt hotel in the heart of the city. You’ll be perfectly placed to experience all that Melbourne has to offer.

Day 4: Melbourne & the Yarra Valley

Enjoy an indulgent day in the Yarra Valley, one of Australia’s leading wine making regions. With a picturesque backdrop of the Yarra Ranges as well as renowned restaurants throughout the area, wine and food lovers alike will revel in everything the Yarra Valley has to offer. Sample your way around boutique wineries and private cellar door experiences before enjoying a sumptuous four course dining experience, created by chef Matt Stone and paired with wines from Oakridge’s Local Vineyard series.

Day 5: Melbourne

Today is created by Kenneth Park, a museum and art curator by profession. Enjoy a private exploration of Melbourne’s atmospheric arcades and alleyways as you learn of the city’s fascinating history, art scene, architecture and social history. Discover the trendy cafes, landmark buildings and an array of graffiti and street art as you go.

Hop on one of Melbourne’s famous trams and ride with the locals as you explore the many differing suburbs of this eclectic city.

Day 6: Melbourne – Uluru

A short flight swaps blue seas for the rugged reds of Australia’s centre. The legendary monolith of Uluru (Ayer’s Rock) will be here to greet you. This evening watch the sun set over the desert as you meander through the sand dunes atop a camel, before enjoying a twilight champagne bush tucker feast.

Day 7: Uluru

Rise at dawn to watch sunrise over Uluru, as a guide recounts the myths and legends of the indigenous people. A walking tour reveals the region’s dynamic ecology, its medicinal plants, its hardy wildlife and how the local Anangu track them. At dusk, enjoy an exclusive desert dinner served beneath a canopy of stars.

Day 8: Uluru – Port Douglas

Following a flight to Cairns, it’s a short drive along a spectacular stretch of Coral Sea coast to charming Port Douglas. This is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. The adjacent rainforest coast is a riot of vivid green and turquoise blue, and you’ll be sitting pretty by the sands of dazzling Four Mile Beach in the Pullman Port Douglas Sea Temple Resort.

Day 9: Cruising & Snorkelling

Enjoy a day of snorkelling and coral viewing at the idyllic Low Isles, explore the beautiful environment as you learn of the area’s history.

Day 10: Port Douglas

After a day on the ocean waves you’ll have earned a day’s relaxation. Explore Port Douglas and spend some time exploring this unique environment at your own pace, browse the local boutiques or take a horseback ride across the Great Dividing Range. Alternatively, get back in the water with your snorkel, before kicking back on the warm sands with a book.

Day 11: Port Douglas & Daintree

Juan Walker, a member of the Kuku Yalanji people, will open your eyes to the culture and craft of indigenous Australia. Join him on a forest walkabout, listening as he shares the stories, history and traditions of his people. If you’re feeling adventurous, there might be a chance to try some bush tucker too.

Day 12: Port Douglas – Sydney

You will be driven back to Cairns for your flight to Sydney. Upon arrival, you’ll head straight for the stylish Langham Hotel near the historic Rocks district. Overlooking Sydney harbour, you’ll be perfectly placed to experience all that the city has to offer.

Day 13 – 15: Sydney

Spend the next couple of days exploring Sydney. Privately led by an expert guide, you can discover the city’s top attractions including the Opera House and Harbour Bridge before taking a stroll on Bondi Beach . Alternatively, you could get acquainted with Australia’s unique wildlife on a behind-the-scenes tour of Taronga Zoo. Board your 52 foot yacht for a luncheon cruise around Sydney’s famous harbour, sit back with a chilled glass of Australian white and a traditional Aussie BBQ as you take it all in.

Day 16: Sydney – UK

Enjoy a final morning in Sydney before we transfer you back to the airport. Catch your flight back to the UK with an over-flowing camera and countless new memories of your Australian adventure.
