Day 1-2: Fly to Saigon
Arrive at the airport by chauffeured transfer and fly overnight to Saigon. On arrival you will be accompanied by one of our experienced escorts to the hotel.
Day 3: Discover Saigon
Today see the Notre Dame Cathedral, the neoclassical Central Post Office, the Reunification Palace and the War Remnants Museum. Enjoy a dinner at Xu Restaurant.
Day 4: Mekong Delta Cruise
Travel to Ben Tre for your Mekong Delta cruise. The delta region produces huge amounts of rice, coconuts, vegetables and tropical fruits. Life here revolves around the river. Take a cycle tour through the verdant fields and meet the local people. Return to Saigon.
Day 5: Cu Chi Tunnels and Tay Ninh
Visit the striking Holy See of Cao Dai - a religion that is native to Vietnam and blends a number of different faiths. Continue to the Cu Chi tunnels, part of a network of excavations used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War.
Day 6: Hoi An Cookery Class
Fly to Danang and transfer to the charming town of Hoi An. Dine on creative Vietnamese cuisine at Ancient Faifo Restaurant.
Day 7: Hai Van Pass to Hue
Taking the scenic Hai Van Pass, travel to the imperial city of Hue. This afternoon cruise the Perfume River to the beautiful Thien Mu Pagoda.
Day 8: Discover Hue
Spend the morning exploring here before visiting the extravagant Royal Tomb of Minh Mang. Meet the nuns and enjoy a vegetarian lunch at Dong Thuyen pagoda.
Day 9: Fly to Hanoi
Visit Viet Phu Thanh Chuong, a 21-century house with traditional Vietnamese architecture.
Day 10: Explore Hanoi
Visit Ba Dinh Square, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Humble House on Stilts.
Day 11: Halong Bay
Halong Bay is a vision of beauty to which very little compares. Sail on emerald waters amongst karst peaks aboard a traditionally-designed junk, stopping to explore en route. Spend the night anchored amongst glorious scenery.
Day 12: Sun rise over Halong Bay
Rise early to see the sun rise over karst-scapes. Continue cruising and enjoy brunch before disembarking. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 13: Fly Hanoi to UK
Fly to the UK, arriving home the same or following day and journey home by chauffeured transfer.
