Days 1-2: Fly to Saigon
Arrive at the airport by chauffeured transfer and fly overnight to Saigon. On arrival you will be accompanied by one of our experienced escorts to the hotel.
Day 3: Discover Saigon
Today see the Notre Dame Cathedral, the neoclassical Central Post Office, the Reunification Palace and the War Remnants Museum. Enjoy a dinner at Xu Restaurant.
Day 4: Mekong Delta
This morning board a traditional riverboat made from native bamboo, wood and rattan and explore the waterways of the Mekong Delta, making stops along the way to provide glimpses of local life.
Day 5: Cu Chi Tunnels
Experience the Cu Chi Tunnels, part of the elaborate network of excavations used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War
Day 6: Explore Hoi An
This morning tour the market to choose fresh ingredients from a colourful array of local produce for your Vietnamese cookery class, where you'll learn to create a number of local dishes. This afternoon, wander the old streets visiting the Japanese Bridge before taking tea at a traditional tea house.
Day 7: Hoi An to Hue
Taking the scenic Hai Van Pass, travel to the imperial city of Hue.
Day 8: Hue
Spend the morning exploring here before visiting the extravagant Royal Tomb of Minh Mang. Meet the nuns and enjoy a vegetarian lunch at Dong Thuyen pagoda.
Day 9: Fly to Hanoi
Fly to Hanoi. Visit Viet Phu Thanh Chuong, a 21-century house with traditional Vietnamese architecture.
Day 10: Hanoi
Visit Ba Dinh Square, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Humble House on Stilts.
Day 11: Halong Bay
Voyage the bay aboard a traditionally-designed steam paddle cruiser stopping to explore the sights as we go. Spend the night anchored amongst glorious scenery.
Day 12: Halong Bay to Hanoi
Rise early this morning to participate in a tai chi lesson on the sun deck or to watch the sunrise over the karst-scapes. After breakfast, explore a nearby cave before disembarking you cruise and returning to Hanoi.
Day 13: Hanoi to Luang Prabang
This evening fly to Luang Prabang. Nestled amongst green mountains, the city is Laos' cultural heart, an oasis of calm antiquity and rich heritage.
Day 14: Luang Prabang
Take to the languid waters of the Mekong to visit Pak Ou Caves, renowned for their hundreds of carved Buddha statues that reside within.
Day 15: Luang Prabang to Siem Reap
Relax with a morning at leisure before flying to Siem Reap. Spend an evening at the Cambodian Circus, run by a NGO that teaches children circus skills.
Day 16: Angkor Wat
Spend the day discovering magnificent Angkor Wat Temples.
Days 17: Fly Siem Reap
Visit a nearby village to learn about the local way of life before continuing on to explore more ancient temples. The locations of this morning’s visits will vary depending on the season. Return to Siem Reap for a traditional spa treatment.
Day 18-19: Fly to the UK
Fly overnight to the UK and journey home in your chauffeured transfer.

As the ‘Heart of Indochina’ tour is part of our Exclusive Collection, you will be staying in 5* accommodation throughout your tour. We have provided time in your itinerary to have the opportunity to experience the facilities of your accommodation, or relax, allowing you to get the most out of the hotel experience.
Coaches: Coaches with air conditioning are used on our group tours for city sightseeing, short excursions to the countryside and longer transfers where necessary. However, mini buses may be used for smaller groups (under 10 passengers).
Planes: Internal flights are based on economy class, with reputable airlines.
Most Wendy Wu groups consist of 10 travellers or more and will be accompanied by a National Escort. There will usually be no more than 18 travellers in each group although you may encounter other Wendy Wu tour groups while you are travelling.
