Seoul is the powerhouse of Asia’s third-largest economy, but along with a strong economy, this capital is a melting pot of culture, beauty and history. When you have had your fill of the urban city you can hike to the summits mountains and walk through national parks. You can even ski down some mountains in winter. Pick your time of year wisely and you could join in a variety of festival and events; Boryeong, mud fest, or Gwangju for its Biennale or its annual salute to that most Korean of foods: kimchi.
