Days 1-2: Fly to Rangoon (Yangon)
Fly overnight to Rangoon, the former capital of Burma (Myanmar). On arrival, you will be met by your expert tour guide and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 3: Journey to Mandalay
Fly to Mandalay, to board your cruise ship. Enjoy some sightseeing at the Mahamuni Pagoda and U Bein Bridge.
Day 4: Ava and Yandabo
Explore the ancient capital of Ava. Later visit the Pandaw School and visit the Pottery Village of Yandabo.
Day 5: Bagan
Tour a selection of Bagans 3,000 temples, a UNESCO-heritage site. Later visit a lacquer workshop.
Day 6: Bagan and Sale
Ascend Tan Chi Taung Mountain this morning for sunrise over Bagan. Visit teak monasteries in Sale including Yout Saun Kyaung.
Day 7: Magwe
Visit the Myat Thalon Pagoda, constructed from solid gold bricks.
Day 8: Minhla and Gwechaung
Visit the Italian 18th-century forts of Minhla and Gwechaung.
Day 9: Prome
Visit the former centre of the Pyu civilisation known as Thiri Ya Kittiya.
Day 10: Akauk Taung
Stop at Akauk Taung (Tax Mountain) to explore the stone carvings here.
Day 11: Danubyu
Explore Delta creeks and stop at Danubyu, a lesser-known town with a busy port and bustling market.
Day 12: Twante
Sail onto the Twante canal which connects the Yangon and Irrawaddy Rivers. Stop to explore the town of Twante.
Day 13: Rangoon
Disembark at Rangoon. This evening visits the famous Shwedagon Pagoda and enjoy the sunset.
Day 14: Fly Rangoon to UK
Fly to the UK.
