Days 1-2: Fly to Tokyo
Fly overnight to Japan’s dazzling capital. Depending on your arrival time, the rest of the day is free for you to start exploring.

Day 3: Discover Tokyo
Begin the day with a walk through the Imperial Palace East Garden, followed by a visit to the National Museum. After lunch, venture to the Asakusa Kannon Temple and Nakamise Shopping Arcade. Finish the day with a trip to the Skytree’s observation deck and enjoy panoramic views of the city.

Day 4: Meiji Shrine
In the morning, take a relaxing stroll across the Hamarikyu Gardens before visiting the famous Meiji Shrine. End today’s touring with a drive past the famous Shiibuya Crossing. The afternoon is then yours to enjoy at leisure.

Day 5: Mount Fuji and Fuji Five Lake
Journey through the foothills of Mount Fuji where you’ll ascend to the 5^th station, 2000 metres up the mountain (weather permitting). After lunch, head to Itchiku Kubota Museum to see elaborate silk creations and its beautiful gardens. You’ll also get the chance to explore Iyashi no Sato Historical Village on the shores of Lake Saiko.

Day 6: Bullet Train to Kyoto
Visit Oshino Hakkai where you’ll learn how to make traditional soba noodles which you’ll enjoy for lunch. Later in the afternoon, transfer to Mishima station and board your bullet train to Kyoto.

Day 7: Explore Kyoto – Christmas Eve
Enjoy a full day tour of the city, beginning with Kiyomizu Temple. Here, you’ll get the chance to immerse yourself in culture with a tea ceremony and origami workshops. After, explore the expansive Fushimi Inari Shrine. In the evening, enjoy a Christmas feast at a local restaurant, surrounded by street decorations, illuminations and Christmas markets

Day 8: Journey to Hiroshima – Christmas Day
Merri Kurisumasu! Begin Christmas day by visiting Ryoanji Temple, home to the country’s most famous zen garden and Kinkakuji Temple, the Golden Pavilion. Make your way to Osaka and have lunch in the vibrant Dotonbori district. In the afternoon, continue onto Hiroshima where you’ll end the day with a Christmas dinner cruise on Hiroshima Bay.

Day 9: Hiroshima and Miyajima
Take a ferry to the holy island of Miyajima and visit the Itsukushima Shrine. While here, enjoy some free time and take an optional ride on the cable car up Mount Misen. Return to Hiroshima, where you can take time to reflect at the Peace Memorial Park and Museum and visit the Orizuru Tower.

Day 10: Himeji Castle
Travel to Himeji to visit its famous castle. Learn about its history before strolling through Kokoen, the gardens across the moat. Transfer to Osaka for the night and enjoy a pre- New Years Dinner.

Day 11: Fly Osaka to UK
Fly to the UK, arriving home the same or following day
