Day 1: Fly to Cairo
Fly to Cairo, arriving late the same day. You will be met and transferred to your hotel
Day 2: Pyramids of Giza
Today's touring starts with the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, followed by the Egyptian Museum. In the afternoon you will visit the famous Khan El Khalili bazaar where your bargaining skills will be put to the test.
Day 3: Old Cairo
This morning you will visit the Old Cairo churches, the Coptic Museum to view the world’s largest collection of Egyptian Christian artefacts as well as Sakara, an ancient burial ground with numerous pyramids, the most famous of which is the Step Pyramid – tomb of the third dynasty ruler. Dinner will be at the top of the Cairo Tower.
Day 4: Explore Alexandra
Depart after breakfast for Alexandria via the desert road. On arrival you will be taken on a city tour that includes the Roman theatre, the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa and you will visit the Qaitbay Citadel, a defensive fortress located on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.
Day 5: El Alamein and Monastery of St Macarius
This morning, we visit El Alamein, the site of two key battles in WWII. The Allied victory in the second battle was instrumental in ending the Axis threat to Egypt. Explore the military museum and war cemeteries before travelling southeast back to Cairo. Stop en route to visit the still-active Monastery of St Macarius, inhabited by Coptic Orthodox monks since the 4th century AD.
Day 6: Cruise the Nile River
On arrival in Luxor you will transfer to the port to embark on your Nile cruise. This afternoon visit Luxor’s East Bank, which will include the Temple of Luxor and the Temple of Karnak, an impressive complex of buildings dedicated to the Egyptian pharaohs
Day 7: Explore West Bank
Start the day with a visit to Luxor’s West Bank, one of the most stunning landscapes in Egypt. Touring will include Colossi Memnon statues, the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir-el-Bahari and the Valley of the Kings.
Day 8: Kom Ombo
Continue this morning to Edfu, south of Esna, visiting the Temple of Edfu. Sail to the agricultural town of Kom Ombo visiting the Temple of Kom Ombo, famous for its twin temples and then continue to Aswan.
Day 9: Discover Aswan
This morning you will tour the town of Aswan. You’ll visit the 3600 metre long High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk and the majestic Temple of Philae. This afternoon, enjoy a felucca tour around the area, viewing Elephantine Island, Kitchener’s Island and the botanical gardens.
Day 10: Abu Simbel
Disembark the ship and journey southwest to the iconic twin temples of Abu Simbel, at Egypt's furthest edge. This atmospheric temple complex, perhaps the greatest in Egypt, is dedicated to Ramesses II, often considered the greatest pharaoh of the New Kingdom. Admire its many halls and imposing statues before returning to Aswan for your flight back to Cairo.
Day 11: Fly Cairo to UK
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.

Explore the Temples of Abu Simbel
Experience the colossal majesty of the temples at Abu Simbel, built for Ramesses II and his wife Nefertari in the 13th century BC. The Ramesses temple entrance, guarded by four 20-metre-high statues, leads into the vast, beautiful underground halls, whose detailed artworks and imposing Osiris statues are humbling to behold.
Cruise the Nile is style
Explore the Nile in style on a 4-night cruise aboard the 5* MS Tulip. Renovated in 2018, the Tulip offers 56 air-conditioned staterooms, all outward facing. Between excursions, why not enjoy the spacious sun deck, or take advantage of the onboard pool?
