Thanks to its excellent snow record and high altitude, Val d’Isere provides the perfect alpine conditions for an action-packed holiday on the slopes. This resort has long attracted champions. Ever since Jean-Claude Killy's Olympic exploits in 1968, Val d'Isère has been a favourite destination for skiers in search of thrills and adventure. Club Med Val d’Isere’s vast terrace is an ideal spot for sun-kissed siestas, its wooden and stone facades blending in with the resort's beautifully preserved traditional chalets. For extra indulgence, stay at the new 5 Trident private luxury suites complete with complimentary room service for breakfast and champagne in the evenings. The quality of the service and elegant design by Francois Champsaur, with beautifully warm colours and fine materials, will contribute to making your stay truly exceptional. There are no children's clubs available at this resort, therefore ski lessons start from 12 years old with Club Med as part of the adult class. Children are welcome from 2 years of age and babysitting services are available.

Can I book my Ski equipment through Club Med?
Absolutely. How does the Ski tuition work?
You will receive 5 days of group lessons, included in your package. The children's tuition will be separate from the adults' tuition. Ages from 4 years old in many Resorts. Private lessons are available at an additional cost. Professional ski instructors, all familiar with the ski domain, will guide you over the slopes best suited to your ability, to ensure that you progress safely but surely in the best possible conditions, in small groups of 12 people maximum.
A test on the first morning will determine your level and the right class for you:
Beginners: this is your first experience of Alpine skiing
Class 1: you can control your speed, and are at ease on blue slopes
Class 2: you can negotiate red slopes at a reasonable speed
Class 3: you are at ease on all slopes
Expert: you are at ease on all types of terrain and snow
Top quality equipment and the Ski Service® (at a supplement) is available to ensure your satisfaction.
