Located in Ecrins National Park, Club Med Serre Chevalier is a cluster of wooden and stone chalets in the heart of the Southern Alps. Enjoy Serre Chevalier’s picturesque tree-lined slopes with over 250km of piste, including a snowpark. Club Med Serre Chevalier is located on the slopes just above Villeneuve and the main lift, with adjacent nursery slopes. This Resort is perfect for families, especially with the option of Petit Club Med. Your children can learn to ski in the kid's clubs in the dedicated ski area, practising on the magic carpet and mini drag lift. Mini and Junior Club have all day lessons and lots of non-skiing activities too. The distinct family areas make sure that non-family groups have their own relaxing space in the hotel.

The in-house lessons are available for all levels of both skiing and snowboarding. When you return, a BBQ will be set up for the perfect apres-ski afternoon.  Each night the food is themed; expect to be treated to oysters, foie gras, lobster and steak at least once during your stay. This resort is open in Winter and Summer so you can enjoy the snow-capped peaks or the nearby Alpine hamlets, meadows and lakes. This is a heavenly location for families who love sports and for mountain nature enthusiasts, who will delight in relaxing by the magnificent swimming pool after a hike, a rafting descent, or even a fitness session, plus free WiFi!

Is the Resort Ski-in/Ski-out?

All Club Med Resorts in Europe have the extra benefit of being ski-in/ski-out with the exception of Meribel L’Antares (5 minute walk), Cervinia (2 minute minibus transfer) and Saint Moritz (15 minute walk).

Can I book my Ski equipment through Club Med?

Absolutely. At every Club Med Ski resort, you will find an in-resort ski rental store where you can rent equipment for your holiday, saving you the worry of having to pay extra for your equipment on the plane. In the store, you can rent equipment for the duration of your stay or you can have your own equipment serviced. How does the Ski tuition work?

You will receive 5 days of group lessons, included in your package. The children's tuition will be separate from the adults' tuition. Ages from 4 years old in many Resorts. Private lessons are available at an additional cost. Professional ski instructors, all familiar with the ski domain, will guide you over the slopes best suited to your ability, to ensure that you progress safely but surely in the best possible conditions, in small groups of 12 people maximum.

A test on the first morning will determine your level and the right class for you:

Beginners: this is your first experience of Alpine skiing
Class 1: you can control your speed, and are at ease on blue slopes
Class 2: you can negotiate red slopes at a reasonable speed
Class 3: you are at ease on all slopes
Expert: you are at ease on all types of terrain and snow

Top quality equipment and the Ski Service® (at a supplement) is available to ensure your satisfaction.

Do all Resorts have Kids’ Clubs?

Similarly, Val d’Isere and Val Thorens Sensations don’t have Kids’ Clubs but welcome children from 2 years of age; a babysitting service is available. Arcs Extreme is an adults-only Resort.

Can I pick my children up to Ski with them for some of the time?

Of course.

What non-Ski activities are there in the Resort?

Most resorts cater for adrenaline junkies and guests looking for more leisurely activities, and everything in between! Examples include snowshoeing, dog-sledding, fat biking, hot tubes, aerial paramotor flights, bobsleighing, zip-lining, activity parks, horse-drawn carriages, snowmobiling, paragliding, airboarding, helicopter sightseeing, ice skating, ice-diving, ice-driving, micro-lighting, walking, hiking, cocktail classes, dinner in an igloo, torchlight descents, yoga, swimming, cinema and squash.
