How to maximise your annual leave for 2020

2020 is fast approaching and it’s time to start thinking about the year ahead. The 2020 calendar is set up with plenty of bank holidays to capitalise on. Find out how to make your annual leave go further in the new year…

Easter

There will be two bank holidays in April, one on each side of the Easter weekend. You could enjoy an 11-day holiday by booking only five days off (9th & 14-17th April). The perfect time to enjoy a family holiday or escape the long UK winter.

Club Med Cefalu

May bank holiday

There are two bank holidays in May, so there’s opportunity for a long 18-day holiday by booking just 10 days annual leave. Take 11th – 22nd May for a total holiday duration of 18 days. If you want a shorter break, why not book the 18th – 22nd of May for a 10-day holiday (only using five days annual leave).

Mark Warner Paleros

August Bank Holiday

The bank holiday at the end of August means you could take four days’ annual leave and enjoy nine consecutive days off. Simply book the 1st-4th September off, ideal for an autumn getaway!

Headwater Classic Swiss Alps Walk

This eight day walking holiday uncovers the very best of the Swiss Alps. A walker’s nirvana, full of stunning natural beauty full of turquoise lakes, rugged peaks and emerald green foliage.

Christmas

You could enjoy 16 days holiday over the Christmas period, by using just 7 days annual leave. Christmas falls on a Friday next year and Boxing Day bank holiday will be recognised the following Monday. Simply book four days off during the week of Christmas, and three days off the following week. As New Year’s Day falls on a Friday, you won’t be back at work until January 4th 2021.

Club Med L’Alpe d’Huez
