All You Need To Know About a Club Med Ski Holiday…

What Airports can I fly from?

Club Med offer return flights on most, if not all, departure dates from the following airports: London (all airports), Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Newcastle, Bournemouth, Leeds Bradford, Cardiff, East Midlands, Bristol, Exeter, Southampton, Oxford, Belfast and Dublin.

Non-flight packages are also available – please ask for details.

Is the Resort Ski-in/Ski-out?

All Club Med Resorts in Europe have the extra benefit of being ski-in/ski-out with the exception of Meribel L’Antares (5 minute walk), Cervinia (2 minute minibus transfer) and Saint Moritz (15 minute walk).

Can I book my Ski equipment through Club Med?

Absolutely.  At every Club Med Ski resort, you will find an in-resort ski rental store where you can rent equipment for your holiday, saving you the worry of having to pay extra for your equipment on the plane. In the store, you can rent equipment for the duration of your stay or you can have your own equipment serviced. When you book your holiday with Travel Club Elite you can ask to rent your ski equipment in advance, so as soon as you arrive at the resort you have what you need to hit the slopes!  Charges in the Resort will be higher, so we recommend you book Club Med ski equipment in advance.

How does the Ski tuition work?

You will receive 5 days of group lessons, included in your package. The children’s tuition will be separate from the adults’ tuition. Ages from 4 years old in many Resorts. Private lessons are available at an additional cost.  Professional ski instructors, all familiar with the ski domain, will guide you over the slopes best suited to your ability, to ensure that you progress safely but surely in the best possible conditions, in small groups of 12 people maximum.

A test on the first morning will determine your level and the right class for you:

Beginners: this is your first experience of Alpine skiing
Class 1: you can control your speed, and are at ease on blue slopes
Class 2: you can negotiate red slopes at a reasonable speed
Class 3: you are at ease on all slopes
Expert: you are at ease on all types of terrain and snow

Top quality equipment and the Ski Service® (at a supplement) is available to ensure your satisfaction.

Do all Resorts have Kids’ Clubs?

Not all.  Meribel Le Chalet and Meribel L’Antares don’t have Kids’ Clubs but welcome children from 4 months of age; a babysitting service is available.  Similarly, Val d’Isere and Val Thorens Sensations don’t have Kids’ Clubs but welcome children from 2 years of age; a babysitting service is available.  Arcs Extreme is an adults-only Resort.

Can I pick my children up to Ski with them for some of the time?

Of course.

What non-Ski activities are there in the Resort?

Please refer to the Resort Facilities tab for details of some of the extra activities available at each resort.  Most resorts cater for adrenaline junkies and guests looking for more leisurely activities, and everything in between!  Examples include snowshoeing, dog-sledding, fat biking, hot tubes, aerial paramotor flights, bobsleighing, zip-lining, activity parks, horse-drawn carriages, snowmobiling, paragliding, airboarding, helicopter sightseeing, ice skating, ice-diving, ice-driving, micro-lighting, walking, hiking, cocktail classes, dinner in an igloo, torchlight descents, yoga, swimming, cinema and squash.  And that perennial ski favourite – bowling!

Please note that an additional charge may be required for some or all of these activities.
