Taba gives its name to the stretch of coastline from the Israeli border southwards towards Nuweiba, and is one of the most picturesque regions on the Red Sea, with azure-blue waters and sandy stretches of beach laid out before the towering Sinai mountain range.
Holidays in Taba are peaceful and relaxing, with hotels generally quite spread out and no town centre as such. There are several shops and restaurants in nearby Taba Heights, easily accessible by taxi.
