Val Thorens
The highest resort in the Three Valleys ski domain (connected by a common ski pass), Val Thorens provides snow sure skiing and boarding, complemented by an energetic nightlife and first-rate piste access.
In addition to its high altitude, many of its slopes face north and north-west providing further for good snow conditions. However, the resort itself faces south, and many people enjoy sitting outside in the sunshine when they have finished skiing. Val Thorens is usually open from mid-November until early May.
As well as a combination of 68 marked runs, Val Thorens also has 5 terrain parks giving access to bordercross tracks, quarter pipes and jumps. Val Thorens has 29 lifts, which consists of a mixture of surface lifts, chairs lifts, gondolas and cable cars. In addition, Val Thorens also has 3 funitels.
