La Plagne

One of the highest ski resorts in the Alps, La Plagne offers some of the most exciting and varied high altitude skiing in Europe.

The resort of La Plagne is a collection of  ten linked ski villages, with altitudes ranging from 1250 to 2100 metres, and offering 220kms of piste skiing. The Paradiski ski area of La Plagne and Les Arcs now offers over 425kms of piste skiing, linked by the Vanoise Express - the world's largest cable car. So, all in all perfect skiing holiday for every ability.

Beginner skiers start out on the broad nursery and soon graduate to a vast theatre of blue runs, which give second week skiers the chance to spread their wings and discover the thrill of high mileage skiing.  Experts set their sights on the Bellecôte glacier with its superb long black pistes and untracked powder slopes - a rare chance to ski descents of more than 2000 vertical metres.

Off the Slopes you can try your hand at the Olympic bob sleigh run or climb the Ice Tower standing 22metres tall. In the evenings enjoy  watching floodlit skiing or participate in slalom competitions at the La Plagne Centre.  There is also a selection of bars and restaurants.
